'Avatar' en 'The hurt locker' delen elk 9 Oscar nominaties

Vanmorgen Amerikaanse tijd zijn de Academy Awards, ofte de Oscar nominaties door actrice Anne Hathaway bekendgemaakt. 'Avatar' van James Cameron en 'The hurt locker' van Kathryn Bigelow hebben elk negen nominaties kunnen verzilveren. Zes nominaties zijn er voor 'Precious' van Lee Daniels en 'Inglourious basterds' van Quentin Tarantino. Nieuw dit jaar is dat er tien in plaats van vijf films voor Beste Film genomineerd zijn. Er is ook één Belgische film genomineerd: 'Brendan and the secret of kells' van Tomm Moore als Beste Animatiefilm. De Oscars worden uitgereikt op zondag 7 maart.
